Endorsements: Catrayel Wood, Jennifer Morgan, Yes on P

The San Juan Parents Association is pleased to announce it has endorsed Catrayel Wood for School Board Trustee in Area 4, Jennifer Morgan for School Board Trustee in Area 2, and supports Measure P, the San Juan Unified School District school bond measure.


Catrayel Wood (www.catrayelwood.com) is a parent of a school age child enrolled in a San Juan School and is an active volunteer in schools and the community – notably serving as the Honorary Mayor of Fair Oaks. Professionally, Mr. wood is a Senior Budget and Policy Manager with more than a decade of experience in budget management and policy analysis. Mr. Wood holds a bachelors degree in politics and international relations and a masters degree in business administration. Mr. Wood is endorsed by School Board Trustee Zima Creason (Area 3), Trustee Ben Avey (Area 6), Trustee Manuel Perez (Area 7) and Trustee Paula Villescaz (At-Large. San Juan Parents recommend voting for Catrayel wood in Trustee Area 4.


Jennifer Morgan (www.jennifermorgan4sjusd.com) is a parent of school age children enrolled in San Juan Unified Schools and an active volunteers and community. In Ms. Morgan’s words she is “a forty-something parent of a 9th grader and a 2nd grader, a proud Californian that cherishes her own public-school education, and a former private sector profit-maker that decided to use her skills for the benefit of her community instead of for Wall Street.” Ms. Morgan was Chair of San Juan Unified’ s Curriculum, Standards, Instructional and Student Services Committee and Chair of the Local Control and Accountability Plan’s Parent Advisory Committee (LCAP PAC). Further, she was recognized with a “You Light The Way” award by the Special Education community in 2024. San Juan Parents recommend voting for Jennifer Morgan in Trustee Area 2.


Bond Measure P (www.yesonpforsanjuankids.com) is San Juan Unified School District’s classroom repair measure that will enable the district to prepare students for college/careers by repairing/upgrading aging classrooms; leaky roofs; math/science labs; removing asbestos/lead; and improving education by retaining/attracting quality teachers in safe/clean schools. If passed, all funds must remain local and only be used on facilities improvement. The bond requires public disclosure of spending, annual independent audits, and review of all spending by independent citizens’ oversight committee. San Juan Parents recommend voting YES ON P.
